The most fascinating thing about the Star Trek clip above is that its that this is a technology that exists today. And it’s called 3D Printing or additive manufacturing.

What is 3D Printing

3D Printing is straight out of science fiction and the applications and implications of 3D Printing is tremendous. It affects all industries from aviation to medical. Almost anything you can conceive, you can create.
3D Printing is called additive manufacturing because instead of creating by chipping or subtracting from a material, material is added until the product is completed. The digital images on your computer gets processed and the 3D Printer extrudes material to create the object layer by layer.

I’ve always been fascinated with technology and when I first heard about 3D Printing, no, when I first saw 3D Printing I was impressed, all we needed was interplanetary space travel and we’ll be living in a Star Trek era.

We’re practically living the Star Trek era technology: Smart phones, tablets, electric cars, and now: a 3D Printer.

3D Printing is the new Digital Industrial Revolution. It will democratize manufacturing, and it will popularize personalization in a new and fun way. Imagine creating a toy, a bracelet all to your own specifications!
One thing is for sure, 3D Printing is the way of the Future!

Below are some of the things we’ve printed. It was fun and fascinating thing to watch something created before your eyes.
